Li Xiaopeng introduced that in recent years, the Ministry of Transport has done a series of work in strengthening network construction, improving service capabilities, and strengthening exchanges and cooperation. First, strengthen overall planning and top-level design. The Ministry of Transport has formulated a series of policies and measures in conjunction with relevant departments. On the one hand, it is to promote the construction of diversified international logistics channels; on the other hand, it promotes the cooperation between logistics companies and upstream and downstream companies in the industrial chain.

Secondly, actively expand the international logistics channel network. International shipping routes reach major ports around the world, and container liner routes travel to more than 100 countries and regions around the world. my country's global shipping connectivity has ranked first in the world for many years. In terms of air cargo, international air cargo reaches more than 60 countries and regions around the world, and Hong Kong and Shanghai have become the world's first and third largest international air cargo hubs respectively. In terms of international road transport, China has signed an intergovernmental international road transport agreement with 22 countries that are jointly building the "Belt and Road". In terms of railways, the China-Europe Express has connected more than 220 cities in 25 European countries. Overall, network construction has made great progress.

At the same time, efforts are being made to improve the service capabilities of international freight. At present, an international logistics service system has been initially formed with international shipping as the main body and international aviation, China-Europe Express, international express delivery, and international road transport as supplements. International shipping accounts for more than 95% of my country's import and export volume, and international air freight has become the main mode of transportation for high-end goods with strong timeliness and high added value. In 2023, 3.11 billion pieces of international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan mail express will be completed throughout the year, which will strongly support the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce. In 2023, a total of 17,000 China-Europe Express trains were launched, shipping 1.9 million standard containers. In addition, in terms of international road transport, the freight volume completed last year increased by 105% year-on-year. In terms of transportation service capabilities, new progress has been made in shipping, aviation, international express delivery and international road transport.

In addition, on July 3, the Ministry of Transport, together with the Kazakhstan Transportation Department, organized the opening of the China-Europe Trans-Caspian Direct Express. This was the first time that Chinese vehicles arrived at the coastal ports of the Caspian Sea by direct road transportation, marking that a multi-dimensional transportation interconnection pattern integrating road, rail, air and pipeline transportation has been formed, providing a strong guarantee for the safe, stable and smooth operation of the China-Europe logistics supply chain.

Li Xiaopeng said that in the next step, he will work with relevant departments to focus on open cooperation, strive to promote the construction of diversified international logistics channels, and continue to promote international logistics interconnection.
