A reporter asked: my country is a logistics power with international influence. In the past few years, the Ministry of Transport has carried out a series of logistics maintenance and smooth work. How is the international logistics maintenance and smooth work under the current situation?

Wang Xiuchun, head of the Transport Service Department of the Ministry of Transport, responded that the international logistics supply chain is an important guarantee for promoting the security and stability of the industrial chain supply chain, promoting high-quality development and serving the construction of a new development pattern. In the past few years, the smoothness and resilience of the international logistics supply chain have also continued to have an impact, attracting everyone's attention. In accordance with the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the Ministry of Transport has given full play to the role of the State Council's logistics maintenance and smooth work mechanism, and together with relevant departments, has focused on strengthening top-level design and promoting the construction of a modern international logistics supply chain system; focusing on unblocking the logistics network and accelerating the construction of the "two coasts and ten corridors" international logistics corridor; focusing on improving security capabilities and promoting the development of various international logistics and transportation modes; focusing on cultivating modern logistics companies with global competitiveness and expanding and extending the international logistics service network. At present, my country's international logistics operations continue to improve overall.

First, the growth momentum of foreign trade throughput in ports across the country is good. From January to August, the national ports completed a foreign trade cargo throughput of 3.34 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%, and an increase of 16.9% over the same period in 2019.

Second, the volume of international air cargo and mail has grown steadily. As of the end of August, the industry had 252 all-cargo aircraft, connecting 22 countries around the world; the total volume of cargo and mail completed was 10.324 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.

Third, the China-Europe Express remained stable and unobstructed. As of the end of August, the China-Europe Express had 86 operating routes, reaching 217 cities in 25 European countries. A total of 1.262 million standard containers of goods were sent, a year-on-year increase of 23%.

Fourth, the cargo handling capacity of major land ports continued to improve. Signed an intergovernmental international road transport agreement with 21 countries that jointly built the "Belt and Road". In August, the cargo handling volume of major land ports such as Alashankou, Horgos, Erlianhot, Manzhouli, and Suifenhe increased by 89.1% year-on-year.

Fifth, the international delivery service network is constantly improving. Express delivery companies are accelerating the integration of multiple international logistics resources by sea, land, air and rail, steadily advancing the construction of international postal routes, and improving the layout of overseas warehouses and distribution centers.
